The collaboration between the Swiss and Italian Theosophical Societies has produced an important publication. It is a bilingual English/Italian book entitled “ The Theosophist 1931 – numero per il centenario dalla nascita di H.P.B.” (The Theosophist 1931 – issue for the centenary of the birth of H.P.B.), published by Edizioni Teosofiche Italiane. The Italian translation by Claudia Cazzaniga accompanies the original English text of “The Theosophist,” the monthly magazine published in Adyar by the Theosophical Society, which dedicated its August 1931 issue to Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the woman who was, in her own right, the main pioneer of the T.S. and the founder of the magazine itself.

Thanks to the personal dedication of Annie Besant, then President of the T.S., this issue of “The Theosophist” included important writings by H.P.B., materials that are still extraordinarily relevant today and lend themselves to study and reflection, which are essential for truly understanding the scope of her spiritual work and the greatness of the “dream” that underpins the Theosophical Society.

This special publication is completed by a series of 25 precious images, which not only contextualize H.P.B.’s personal history, but also provide a “testimonial” trace of her life and her commitment to Theosophy and the S.T.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the T.S., the Italian Theosophical Society and the Swiss Theosophical Society have realized the project of translating into Italian the 1931 issue of “The Theosophist” and publishing the text, which also contains the original English version, under the imprint Edizioni Teosofiche Italiane.
